Know a property manager who could use UnitConnect? Admin > Refer a client gives you a link to share. When a company signs up with it and becomes a paying client, UnitConnect takes a credit off your bill, and the company gets a discount on its first months.
You need permission to view the subscription to open this page. The page shows what you get and what they get right now — the amounts are set by UnitConnect and can change for new sign-ups. If the referral program isn't open, the page says so.
Share your link
- Click Admin in the sidebar, then Refer a client (under Organization).
- Under Your link, click the copy button next to your link and send it however you like — email, text, or a message on social media.
The link opens a page that names your company as the one who invited them and starts their free trial with your code filled in. Your code is also shown under the link; someone who signs up without the link can type it into Have a referral or promo code? on the sign-up page.
Your code is made for you and stays the same. If you'd like a different one, ask UnitConnect support. Once it changes, your old link and code stop working, so share the new link; referrals you've already made still count.
Invite someone by email
- Under Email an invitation, enter Their email.
- Add A note from you (optional) — a line about why you recommend UnitConnect.
- Click Send invitation.
UnitConnect sends the email in your company's name, with your link and your note. If they reply, the reply comes to you. You can send up to 25 invitations a day, and one a day to the same address.
When you get your credit
A referral counts once the company you referred finishes its free trial and pays its first UnitConnect invoice. Within about an hour of that payment:
- the credit is added to your UnitConnect account, and
- you get an email and a notification saying so.
The credit comes off your next UnitConnect invoices automatically — there is nothing to claim. If the credit is more than an invoice, the rest carries over to the next one. You can see your current credit, and how much each invoice used, in Billing history on your subscription.
Follow your referrals
The tiles at the top count your Referrals, how many Became clients, and the Credit earned so far.
Your referrals lists everyone who signed up with your link, newest first:

| Client | They paid their first invoice. Their company name is shown, and Your credit shows the amount and date — or On its way until it's added. |
| Didn't continue | Their trial ended without them becoming a client. |
A referral counts once per company. A sign-up that looks like your own company — the same email domain or the same card — is checked by UnitConnect before any credit is given.
