If you work for more than one organization on UnitConnect — say, two management companies — you don't need a separate account for each. Each organization invites your existing login, and you switch between them from your account menu. Each organization decides your roles and which properties you can see there.

Join an organization

When an organization invites you, you get an email from it with an Accept invite button and a code such as K7QM-4XRT. The invite works once and expires after 7 days.

If you already sign in to UnitConnect:

  1. Click Accept invite in the email. If you aren't signed in, click Sign in to join and sign in with the email the invite was sent to.
  2. Optionally, check Make this my default workspace to open this organization whenever you sign in.
  3. Click Join and switch. UnitConnect opens the organization you joined.

You keep your login and your password; nothing new is created for you to remember.

If you're new to UnitConnect, the invite opens a page where you choose your password:

  1. Click Accept invite in the email.
  2. Enter a password in Choose a password and again in Confirm password. It must be at least 8 characters and include a letter and a number.
  3. Click Join followed by the organization's name. You're signed in, and from then on you sign in with the email the invite was sent to.

To type a code instead of using the link, click your avatar, then Join a workspace…, and enter the code. If you already work in more than one organization, it's at the bottom of the workspace list: click the Workspace box first.

Note

The invite only works for the email it was sent to. If it has expired or was withdrawn, ask the organization to send a new one.

Switch between organizations

Click your avatar. The Workspace box under your name shows the organization you're working in; click it to see the others, and click the one you want. With many organizations, type part of a name in Find a workspace to narrow the list. The page reloads into it: its name shows in the header, and you see its properties, tenants and records with the access it gave you.

If you have other UnitConnect tabs open, they switch too, so no tab shows one organization's data while working in another.

Choose which organization opens when you sign in

In the account menu, click the Workspace box, hover over an organization and click Set as default. The one marked Default is where sign-in takes you. If you lose access to your default, sign-in opens the organization your login belongs to instead.

Your password and your login

Your login belongs to one organization — the first one you had an account with. Change your password while working there: in any other organization, Settings > Sign-in shows a button to switch to it instead of Change password. See Update your profile and password.

Important

Your access everywhere depends on your login. If the organization your login belongs to deactivates you, you can no longer sign in to any of your workspaces.

Leave an organization

  1. Click your avatar, then Settings > Sign-in.
  2. Under Workspaces, click Leave next to the organization.
  3. Click Leave to confirm.

If you leave the organization you're working in, UnitConnect takes you back to the one your login belongs to. You can't leave that one. To work in an organization again after leaving, ask it to invite you again.
